Flowers: Red - Purple to Light Pink - Purple. pea-like flowers about 1/4 inch long in very elongated clusters. The banner petal has a cream - white or yellow center.
Flowering Time: March - May.
Leaves: Green, hairy, and palmately compound.
Found: Native to the southwestern United States (AZ, CA, NM, NV, TX, UT); and the extreme northwest of Northern Mexico.
