Pale Leaf Yucca
Yucca pallida, Agave Family: ( Agavaceae ), Pale Leaf Yucca. Also called: Paleleaf Yucca.

Paleleaf Yucca, sometimes called Pale yucca, is a species of yucca with tall stout stems and a terminal cluster of white flowers. It is notable for its light-colored leaves that are a pale blue-gray to sage-green in color.

Its rosettes average 8 - 24 inches tall and 12 - 28 inches in diameter, with leaves 6 - 16 inches long and about 1 inch wide, being widest around the midpoint. The rosettes sit directly on the ground, with little or no trunk. The leaves have a yellow to brown terminal spine, and are generally flat, possibly with some waviness or rolling along the edges.

The inflorescence (inflorescence: The flowering part of a plant or arrangement of flowers on a stalk) is a panicle (panicle: Compound raceme or branched cluster of flowers) , 3 - 7 feet tall, with up to about 100 bell-shaped flowers, each about 2 - 3 inches long, with their color ranging from light greenish white to cream.

Height: About 7 -10 feet tall and 12 - 28 inches wide.
Flowers: White to cream white.
Blooming Time: March - May.
Leaves: The leaves are pale blue-green, or grayish green, 1 inch wide, 6 to 18 inches long. It has finely serrated yellowish leaf margins.
Found: Found throughout lower elevation xeriscape gardens in Arizona.
Elevation: 0 - 2500 Feet.
Habitat: Alkaline, well-drained/light soils. An ideal xeriscape landscape plant in Arizona. Native to North Texas.
