Woolly Daisy
Eriophyllum lanosum, Sunflower Family ( Asteraceae ), Woolly Daisy. Also called White Easter Bonnets.

The plant is also known by the scientific name, Antheropeas lanosum. A herb. This very small plant is covered in fine, white wool. The grayish leaves are linear. It grows in dry, gravelly areas.

Height: Up To About 1 1/2 inches.
Flowers: From 1/2 " - 1" wide. Woolly, white, with yellow centers, on the ends of short, leafless stems.
Blooming Time: February to May.
Leaves: Alternate simple leaves. Spatula-shaped, with dense, white woolly hairs and somewhat rounded tips.
Elevation: 0 - 3500 Feet.
Habitat: On sandy desert soils and bajadas of the Sonoran Desert of Arizona and California. Also Sonora, Mexico.
