Western Yarrow Western Yarrow's finely dissected green leaves form a dense mat, the flowers rise up on 12 - 24 inch stalks. The flowers have a wonderful crinkled look. The leaves have medicinal properties. A delightful, perennial, which forms a bouquet of white flowers! It's a native of the continental USA and a native to Arizona that blooms from March to November, and it qualifies as a low water use plant.
Plants spread aggressively by rhizomes and self-seeding, and can naturalize into substantial colonies if left unchecked.
Height: Up to 2 feet tall. Spreads up to 18 inches wide.
