The museum of Tonina is designed to look like a ruins and it sits in the midst of the ruins of a residential unit of Tonina that dates back to the sixth century. We found the museum to exhibit a very nice collection of artifacts from Tonina as well as a nice model of Tonina. Unfortunately we only had a half hour to tour the museum before closing time and we only had time to take pictures of the exhibits without enough time to find out what the exhibits were about. The guards at the museum and the ruins were very nice. Everyone we met seemed most anxious to show us their archaeological site. We really wish we had more time to have viewed the site and the museum. We are presenting the photos that we took, but we are making no attempt to explain what the artifacts are about.
