It is located to the South West from Tapachula city 60 miles from Guatemala. It has a very nice restaurant "The El Cafetal" that serves 3 meals a day. The El Cuatete Bar opens from 12:00 noon to 1:00am every day. There is a convention center for groups and meeting up top 1200 persons. This hotel is a two story building, with renovated rooms and a mini bar, A/C, heater, and satellite color TV in each room. The hotel can be reserved by several internet sites. This is an ideal base from which to visit the city of Tapachula and the ruins of Izapa. It is about an hours drive from the hotel to Guatemala.
The rooms are clean. The resturant is clean and the food is excellent. The service is excellent. The parking lot is secure with a guard on duty. The employees are friendly and helpful. We were at Tapachula Loma Real on January 28 and 29 of 2004. Our comments are as of those dates. We recommend this hotel. We receive nothing for our comments and only place them here as a service to people who view our pages.
