Popcorn Flower
Cryptantha angustifolia, Borage Family ( Boraginaceae ) , Popcorn Flower. Also called: Narrow-leaved forget-me-not.

Popcorn Flower is an annual plant. It germinates in the fall and blooms during the first warm days of February - March.

Height: From 2 Inches To About 10 Inches Tall.
Flowers: White flower buds are held in a tight coil (spiral) at the top of the plant. The flowers open starting from the bottom of the plant moving toward the top. This causes the stem to uncoil. The flowers are about 1/8 inch in size.
Blooming Time: February - March.
Leaves: Dull green - gray, hairy, narrow leaves to 1.5 inches in length..
Found: Found in California and Arizona.
Elevation: 0 - 4200 Feet.
Habitat: Cities along roadsides and sandy river bottoms, flats, and washes in the deserts.
