Colon, the main and most beautifull of the city's avenues in Merida. Located between Calle 60 and Paseo Montejo. Holiday Inn lies in one of the most important financial areas of the city. The Hotel offers all the facilities and services that all guests on business and vacations will require to have a pleasant stay. The nice touch of colonial architecture, makes the Hotel part of the cities historical past since it was one of the richest haciendas when the city was founded in 1542. The magnificient location gives their guests an easy access to all attractions and important sites of the city and the state such as down town, convention center, museums, theater, shopping malls, handcraft stores, archeological ruins, cenotes, caves. The rooms are clean. The resturant is clean and the food is excellent. The service is excellent. The parking lot is secure. The employees are friendly and helpful. The hotel staff speaks: English , French , Italian , and Spanish The hotel has 212 Guest Rooms: 17 Suites, 33 Non-Smoking Rooms, 142 Double-Bedded Rooms, and 53 Single-Bedded Rooms. We were at Holiday Inn Hotel Merida Mexico on February 6 and 7 of 2004. Our comments are as of those dates. We highly recommend this hotel. We receive nothing for our comments and only place them here as a service to people who view our pages.
