Arroyo Lupine
Lupinus succulentus, Legume Family: ( Fabaceae ), Arroyo Lupine. Also called: Foothill Lupine, and Hollowleaf Lupine.
Height: 6 to 36 inches.
Flowers: Blue - Purple pea-like flowers about 1/4 inch long in very elongated clusters. The banner petal has a white center. The white part turns purple when the flower has been pollinated.
Blooming Time: February - May.
Leaves: Green, not hairy, and palmately compound.
Found: Arizona.
Elevation: 0 - 2500 Feet.
Habitat: Disturbed soil, roadways, sandy or gravelly areas.
