India Hawthorn
Rhaphiolepis indica, Rose Family: ( Rosaceae ), India Hawthorn. Also called: Pink Lady.

A broadleaf evergreen shrub up to 5 feet tall with dense growth. It makes a colorful, informal hedge or screen. The leaves begin bronze and burgundy and mature to dark green.

This plant is attractive to bees, butterflies and/or birds.

An ideal Xeriscape Landscape Plant in Arizona. Drought Tolerant, Fragrant, Long Blooming, Low Maintenance.

Height: Slow growing to 6 to 15 feet.
Flowers: The flowers are pink to white, 5-petaled flowers in showy clusters.
Blooming Time: March - April and again September - October.
Leaves: Dark Green, simple, glossy, alternate, leathery leaves.
Fruit: Dark blue, berry-like fruit. Found: Found throughout lower elevations in Arizona.
Elevation: 0 - 2500 Feet.
Habitat: Well drained soil is preferred.
