Dyssodia porophylloides, Sunflower Family: ( Asteraceae ) , San Felipe Dyssodia. Also called: San Felipe Dogweed.

Perennial subshrub to 2'. Flowers bloom March to October. Plant is very aromatic when crushed.

Height: 2 foot tall, spread to 2 foot.
Flowers: 1/2 inch long and 1 inch long, yellow-orange flowers. They grow in pairs from the end of growth spikes.
Blooming Time: March - October.
Leaves: Leaves are about 1 inches long, simple, pinnately-lobed.
Found: Found throughout southern Arizona, Baja California, and Sonora Mexico.
Elevation: 600 - 3500 Feet.
Habitat: Desert Sandy slopes, washes and mesas.
