Discovered in 1743 on the West Bank of the Nile. The funeral Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (1490 BC-1468BC) was built by the architect, Senenmut. The temple was inspired by the Temple Of Mentuhotep whose terraces and porticos it has reproduced. In its' own special way it blends into the natural surroundings.
