Seaman George Noel deLange, 368-22-53, Started out after his basic training on the USS Colorado. Some of his first flight experience was in one of the OS2U3,s that can be seen
on the catapults of the USS Colorado in the pictures below. Noel Transfered to the USS Copahee in 1942. The Copahee went to San Diego for repairs and Noel was transfered to the brand new Cabot as the only Chief Aviation
Ordananceman. He went on the Cabots' maiden journey into the combat zones of the Pacific. He stayed with the Cabot throughout WW II.

Noel deLange was assigned to the Cabot on its first voyage into battle as her Aviation Chief
Ordnanceman. That makes him a "Plankowner". Noel served on the Cabot throughout all of her Great Battles during WW II. It was only through the
