Becan, Campeche, a Mayan ruin of the Rio Bec Region. Its' name means "path of the serpent." Becan was built between A.D. 200 and 600. There is a moat that runs the circumference of the city which covers 25 hectares.

Becan is located 160 km from Escarrcega on highway 186 close to Xpuhil city. GPS coordinate at front gate is N 18*30'56.14" W 089*27'57.45". Elevation 902 feet.
