Yucca recurvifolia is a 4 to 6 feet tall evergreen yucca with lance shaped recurving to arching leaves. Soft Leaf Yucca is usually a single stem plant when young and can become multi trunked with age. The growth habit is rosette in youth and with age the plant can become tree like. This Yucca will bloom early summer to fall, the flowers are creamy white and bell shaped and are borne on 3 to 5 foot spikes. This yucca has excellent heat and drought tolerance.

Can take full sun in Phoenix or Tucson.

Height: 4 to 6 feet tall. Spreads about 2 to 3 feet.
Flowers: Its flowers, are creamy white and bell shaped and borne on 3 - 5 foot spikes.
Blooming Time: Phoenix Arizona, Mid March.
Leaves: The leaves symmetrical, spineless rosettes of lance shaped recurving to arching leaves over 2 feet long.
Found: Native NW Mexico.
Elevation: 0 - 4,600 Feet. In Arizona.
Habitat: It grows well in sand, sandy loam, clay and other heavy soils. It needs good drainage and aeration. It is remarkably tolerant of alkali.
