When we went to Guatemala City and Tikal we stayed at the Westin Camino Real Hotels at Guatemala City and on Lake Peten Itza near Tikal. We found the people who work at these hotels to be very nice and they tried to make our stays as pleasant as possible. The food at their hotels was excellent. We highly recommend the Westin Camino Real Hotels when staying in Guatemala. Clark Tours has an office in the Camino Real Hotel at Guatemala City. We recommend Clark Tours when touring Guatemala. The Camino Real Hotels in Guatemala and Clark Tours took care of every need we had in Guatemala.

We suggest getting a hotel in Guatemala and then letting them arrange either a car or a tour of Guatemala. We prefer Clark Tours, who have been in business for over 80 years.
